Together with our partners \u2013 the GIA Institute at RWTH Aachen University, GRBV Consulting Engineers and albert.ing \u2013 we are developing a pioneering smartphone application for real-time quality assurance in construction.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:10px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-innovation-durch-intelligente-fehlererkennung\">Innovation through intelligent fault detection<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>The BIM2Field project uses state-of-the-art augmented reality technology and artificial intelligence to revolutionise everyday life on construction sites. The centrepiece of the development is an app that enables an automated comparison between digital building models (BIM) and the actual construction work. The technological basis for this is the AR Explorer platform from IMS, which is characterised by precise AR visualisation and an intelligent ticket management system.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:10px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-starke-partnerschaften-fur-die-baubranche-von-morgen\">Strong partnerships for the construction industry of tomorrow<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>The collaboration combines the expertise of leading players:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>IMS: AR technology and software development<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>GIA Institute of RWTH Aachen University: Scientific research and validation<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>GRBV &amp; albert.ing: BIM expertise, practical experience and application expertise in construction<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:20px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-mehrwert-fur-die-bauindustrie\">Added value for the construction industry<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>The solution developed will:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Recognise construction deviations in real time<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Automate documentation processes<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Simplify quality controls<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Minimise rework<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Accelerate construction processes<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><br>Yesterday's kick-off meeting in Aachen marks the official start of the project and lays the foundation for the upcoming development phase.
