On a large construction site, the current version of AR-Explorer is used to verify the conformity between the actual execution of the building, in particular the electrotechnical MEP, and the original planning specifications of the engineering office. A comprehensive evaluation of the precision and functionality of the AR-Explorer was carried out across all floor levels - from the underground car park to the top floor of the building.<\/p>

QAR codes at prominent positions on the construction site are used for spatial referencing. The AR Explorer app records these and enables precise calibration of the AR model. We have fundamentally revised the interface to improve user-friendliness. You can now access the various visualisation modes centrally via the settings menu (gear icon). Options for object selection and selective hiding of elements can also be configured there.<\/p>

In AR mode, you have various display modes at your disposal that enable a differentiated view of the projected 3D model.<\/p>

For example, you have the option of displaying only the contours of the model in order to make a precise comparison with the construction progress. Alternatively, you can view the 3D geometry in a round section (\u2018lens\u2019), which allows a focussed comparison of specific areas.\u00a0<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

Real building components such as columns or wall constructions can conceal virtual elements if they are located in their background, whereby the concealment takes place according to the actual spatial arrangement. In the screenshot shown, for example, you can see in the background how a cable route is visually concealed by a passageway.<\/p>

With an appropriately structured planning file, the application offers comprehensive options for filtered visualisation of the model in the augmented reality environment. This allows the targeted visualisation of individual trades, for example only the architectural elements or the electrical installations.<\/p>

In addition, the refined filter logic enables selection at type level so that users can achieve a specific visualisation.
